The TrenntMagazin is part of the “Trenntstadt Berlin” campaign, which was launched in 2010 under the leadership of the Berliner Stadtreinigung (BSR) together with ALBA, Berlin Recycling and the Stiftung Naturschutz Berlin in order to bring the topics of waste prevention, separation and recycling into the focus of society.
Current issue: From Zero to Hero – How the idea of zero waste became a movement
Contents
TrenntMagazin has accompanied the pioneers of the zero-waste movement from the beginning and, on the occasion of the 10th anniversary, asked them how they got on, what they learned, where they failed and why they don't give up. Milena Glimbovski, founder of the first packaging-free supermarket "Original Unverpackt", says: "When I started, there was zero awareness of the topic of zero waste." That has now changed - also because of her commitment and our other favorite heroes of the waste-free life. Food rescuer Raphael Fellmer adds: "In view of the climate catastrophe, we no longer have time for experiments." And Nora Sophie Griefahn, founder of the "Cradle to Cradle NGO", emphasizes: "We want to get out of the utopian corner."
