Users of sonic toothbrushes can now also switch to the sustainable side of dental care with peace of mind. Easy to use, sonic toothbrushes with up to 62,000 brush movements per minute remove more plaque in less time and reduce gum inflammation more effectively than manual toothbrushes.
The Tiosonik replacement heads are compatible with the handles of Phillips Sonicare®, the most established manufacturer of sonic toothbrushes.
79% of dentists are convinced that oral care is easier with an electric toothbrush. 2 combinations can be distinguished by colored rings. Not tested on animals, suitable for vegans
By using plant-based, renewable raw materials, TIO achieves a significantly better CO2 balance compared to conventional crude oil-based plastics and does its part to stop global warming.
material
The brush body is made of bioplastic based on pine oil, which is obtained in a side stream of wood and paper production. The production is ISCC+ certified and the material is recyclable in the existing material cycle.
The bristles are made of nylon 10.10, which is made from castor oil. The seeds come from the castor oil plant, which grows on dry soil and does not compete with food crops.
The packaging is made of FSC® certified cardboard and can be easily recycled. In addition, TIO compensates for production-related emissions as best as possible by supporting the Plant-for-the-Planet tree planting project.
Origin & Manufacturer
Our Tiosonik is manufactured in China, in the city of Shenzhen in the southern part of Guangdong province. The Tiosonik is transported by train via the Silk Road from China to Germany. Once it arrives here, it is brought to our warehouse by truck. This is probably the most environmentally friendly way of transporting goods over long distances.
TIO Care is a Berlin start-up. TIO Care tries to achieve the best possible result for people and nature by combining material research and resource-saving design in its products.
disposal
The plug-in area and head are recyclable in the existing recycling cycle. Since nylon is not reused in our current recycling system, only the bristles should be disposed of separately in the residual waste
Nice to know: Since TIO is based on plants and these bind a lot of CO2 during photosynthesis, only (almost) all of the CO2 that was bound by the plants during growth is released during thermal utilization - this makes TIO toothbrushes almost CO2 neutral.
The cap, handle and cap foil can be disposed of in the yellow bin.
