application and care
We indicate the absorbency of each period panty in the form of drops.
For example, 5 drops mean that the panty over a period of 12 hours as much menstrual blood as well as 5 tampons.
In this way we take the natural blood flow into account.
This means, conversely, that if a lot of blood flows out over a very short period of time, the panty needs to be changed more often.
The same applies to incontinence: urine or water has a completely different consistency and viscosity than menstrual blood.
Period blood consists of about half blood, and the other half of shed uterine lining, vaginal fluid and the unfertilized egg. Our panties are optimized for this. If you use them for bladder weakness, you may need to change your panties more often.
Before wearing the EMILIA Comfy Hipster strong for the first time, wash it in the washing machine according to the washing instructions, a short hand wash is not sufficient. This does not sufficiently remove the fat used to oil the fiber for knitting, and the panty does not absorb the period blood optimally.
This tip is relevant for any clothing that is designed to absorb body fluids, e.g. sports clothing that is designed to absorb sweat.
Hand wash after wearing
First, the panty should be washed under the cold tap.
machine wash
Then you can wash it in the laundry bag at up to 40°C in the washing machine together with similar colored clothes. Neither fabric softener nor bleach should be used to wash the panties. Even regular detergent often contains bleach, so use color detergent without bleach!
Please note: washing temperatures above 40°C may affect the longevity of the fibres.
air drying
The panty dries best in the fresh air.
