"Furoshiki" - the all-rounder cloth
Coming from the Japanese, Furoshiki is a square cloth that is used as an alternative to wrapping gifts. In Europe, these practical cloths used to be used as "bundles". Traditionally, the cloth is always given away with the gift. This way, you always get new cloths that you can use and don't produce any waste.
The cloths are made from old saris. Two different fabrics are sewn together and the individual Furoshiki made in Sri Lanka is ready.
