Snack tomato mix:
Mixture of the tomato varieties Yellow Submarine, Matina and Dorenia; seeds packed separately! A colourful combination of 3 tasty varieties of cocktail tomatoes. In addition to the popular Ruthje, the dark purple cherry tomato Black Cherry and the yellow-fruited Goldiana round off the taste experience. Ruthje produces bright red, slightly heart-shaped fruits with an exceptionally good taste. Black Cherry scores with high yields and very healthy plants. Goldiana tomatoes are resistant to bursting and taste really delicious when ripe. All in all, a successful mixture for a vitamin-rich snack or a colourful salad plate. TIP: All three varieties benefit from a roof that protects against moisture from above. Moderate fertilisation, plenty of sun and a rather dry cultivation process are beneficial for the taste.

Balcony tomato 'Rotkäppchen':
Compact and relatively open growing bush tomato with tasty, round, red fruits of the light fruit type. Sow the tomato seeds in a small pot at the end of March/beginning of April and cover them lightly with soil. Then place the pot in a very bright and warm place to germinate and grow. As soon as the plants get their third leaf, you should put each one in its own pot. From mid-May, the tomatoes should be planted outside in a tub. They feel really comfortable in a warm, sunny spot. The Rotkäppchen tomato variety stays rather small and therefore does not need any support.

insect buffet:
Annual, fast-growing mixture of blue lupine (Zeus), buckwheat, common vetch (Gravesa), ornamental sunflower, Alexandrian clover (Axi), Persian clover (Gorby), seradella, phacelia (Anabela), dill, Mauritanian mallow, motherwort and borage. Insect buffet is ideal as a flower strip at the edge of the garden. The soil recovers, becomes deeply rooted, the soil quality improves and bees, bumblebees and co. feast on the nectar. TIP: Spread the contents of the bag thinly and evenly over approx. 15 m², cover lightly with soil and keep moist until germination.

Children's garden fun:
Mixture of blue-podded runner beans, dwarf sunflowers and radishes; seeds packed separately! Runner beans Brunhilde, sunflower Sunspot and radish Sora make getting started in gardening easy! And this is how it's done: Beans: Plant 5-6 beans of the wonderful Blauhilde around a long climbing pole. Beans need to be moist and warm. Sunflower: Sow the seeds either in larger pots or every 25 cm in the flowerbed. Keep the soil nice and moist. Radishes: Sow the radish seeds in a row with a distance of 2.5 cm in a balcony box or directly in the garden.

Herbal Assortment:
Five different seed discs of classic kitchen herbs that you should always have on hand: curly parsley (Green Pearl 2) and flat-leaf parsley (Simple Cut 3), chives (Gonzales), dill and chervil (Verena). The seed discs make sowing in pots or window boxes particularly easy. Fill the container with soil up to approx. 2 cm below the rim and press down. Place the seed discs on top, water well, cover thinly with soil or sand, moisten again and do not allow to dry out until germination. TIP: In good conditions, home-grown herb pots can be harvested several times, unlike those available in stores.

Simple cress:
Fast-growing, piquant and spicy herb. Ideal for sowing in bowls. Cress germinates in light, so do not cover the seeds, just press them down and keep them moist. You can harvest after just 8 - 10 days and give your salad the right flavor. Cress can also be sown outdoors from March to September. Fertilization is not necessary. "TIP": Cress is particularly popular as a spread on bread or in herb curd, but you can also use it to refine sauces and soups.

Edible flowers:
Colorful, annual mixture of marigold, borage, cornflower and edible chrysanthemum. The flowers are edible and also attractive to insects. Growing them in planters on balconies and terraces is no problem. Regular harvesting encourages the formation of more flowers. "TIP": They are not only decorative on salads, they also give them a very special flavor. Flower ice cubes are a visual highlight for any drink.

Flowering balcony:
Delicate flower mixture for balcony boxes in white, violet and yellow tones, consisting of candytuft, marigolds, bushzinia and the pretty tricolor sedum. Thanks to the overlapping flowering periods, this mixture will delight us for a long time, from the beginning of June to the end of September. Please sow only thinly in the boxes and keep moist until germination. The mixture can of course also be sown in the garden bed. TIP: Regularly cutting out the withered flower heads will encourage new flower growth.

Asian salad mix:
A spicy, hot Asian salad mix in appealing, bright colors for all salad gourmets! The collection of Mizuna, Red Giant, Moutarde Rouge Metis grows quickly in the garden bed or in planters on the balcony. Sow thinly and keep moist until germination. The germination temperature should not be above 20°C in summer. Frost hardy to -10°C! TIP: Harvest quickly in the hot summer months, as all Asian salad varieties then quickly start flowering.

Salad rocket:
An undemanding salad and aromatic herb with a short cultivation time. Rocket is ready for harvest after just 4 - 6 weeks and the vitamin-rich leaves can be picked at any time. The pleasant, piquant taste gives summer salads a special flavor. The seed discs make sowing in pots or window boxes particularly easy. Fill the container with soil up to approx. 2 cm below the rim and press down. Place the seed disc on top, water well, cover thinly with soil or sand, moisten again and do not allow to dry out until germination. "TIP": If you want to harvest rocket continuously, sow every 3 weeks from April.

Sunflower 'La Torre':
La Torre grows with branches and multiple shoots up to 2 meters high. Annual. The flowers are rather small, about 15 cm in diameter, in light yellow, yellow and red shades. Sunflowers need nutritious soil with sufficient moisture and a sunny spot in the garden. "TIP": The sunflower 'La Torre' is a solitary plant and looks particularly good when placed alone. It is a great eye-catcher because it stands out due to its size and stature.

nasturtium:
Climbing mixture with single flowers in a beautiful play of colors with bright yellow, orange and red tones. Undemanding in terms of soil and location, it even grows in northern locations. Leaves and flowers are edible and have a taste similar to mustard cress. Better germination results can be achieved by pre-cooling the moist seeds: 5 days at approx. 5°C TIP: Do not fertilize too much, otherwise it will mainly produce leaves. Annual.

Radish 'Sora':
Firm, carmine-red radish with a beautiful round shape that is suitable for the entire outdoor season. Sora stays firm and tender for a long time, even when it gets bigger. Radish is an undemanding crop that thrives in almost any soil. A consistent water supply is important, otherwise the radishes will flower prematurely and become furry or too spicy. "TIP": The leaves are popular with flea beetles. Remedy: Grow under fleece or ensure a finely crumbly soil surface by regularly hoeing.

The goals and guiding principles that guide the daily activities of Bingenheimer Saatgut AG are based on a simple basic idea: the long-term enabling of independent organic farming through the preservation and development of seed-stable vegetable varieties as well as the ecological propagation of these varieties in order to make the seeds available to all interested parties. There are currently around 80 companies in the initiative group that propagate biodynamic and organic seeds. Bingenheimer Saatgut AG coordinates the seed propagation of the initiative group and then sells the seeds.
