You're not alone.

Sometimes it's hard to believe that everyday decisions can really make a difference in the face of this unprecedented existential crisis. Eat vegan, turn off the lights, take the bike instead, don't forget to recycle - is it all really meaningless?

There is no doubt that much greater change is needed than a handful of people committing to not flying again.

But how will these changes initiated?

By those very people who integrate sustainable decisions into their everyday lives and in this way set an example for others around them.

Between the two poles of individual and political, economic, and even systemic changes, there is another level:

The area in which people interact with each other, create common realities and influence each other.

No, this does not mean that private individuals alone are responsible for mitigating the effects of climate change. It is essential – and long overdue – that politicians create the framework for an environmentally friendly lifestyle.

But we should not doubt the power of our everyday actions.

Because every single decision is relevant to the climate – and, bit by bit, lays the foundation that makes social change possible.
