Press release: Original Unverpackt successfully renovated!
Berlin, September 1, 2022.
With economic effect from September 1, 2022, the business operations of Original Unverpackt GmbH and all employees will be taken over by the investor Ms. Richter.
"I am very pleased that we have succeeded in finding a restructuring solution within the framework of the preliminary insolvency proceedings that I initiated, which not only preserves all jobs, but also the location in Berlin Kreuzberg," said Managing Director Ms. Glimbovski.
On June 16, 2022, Original Unverpackt GmbH filed an application for insolvency proceedings with the Charlottenburg District Court. It operates the Original Unverpackt store in Berlin Kreuzberg and the online shop www.original-unverpackt.de . Attorney Dr. Sven Kirchner from the law firm Münzel&Böhm was appointed as provisional insolvency administrator.
"I am all the more pleased that in these economically very difficult times for companies in the retail trade with unpackaged food, not only was an anonymous investor solution found, but that an entrepreneur was gained as an investor who will actively work in the company in the future with conviction and professional competence," said Dr. Sven Kirchner, provisional insolvency administrator.
Original Unverpackt is one of the first zero-waste shops in Germany - a pioneer for sustainable consumption. "I am looking forward to expanding this pioneering position in the future and thereby making a contribution to the zero-waste community, " says Ms. Richter.
