Making your own cleaning products is really easy and much more environmentally friendly than buying them yourself. You know exactly what's in them and you save money. You don't need any crazy ingredients. Get to know our 5 friends and what you can mix with them.
Vinegar or vinegar essence, the universal one. Vinegar is a real miracle cure and cleans almost the entire house. It removes grease, dirt and limescale and has a disinfecting effect.
Baking soda , the all-rounder. It replaces cleaning and washing products, care products and kitchen aids. It has a disinfecting and limescale and grease-dissolving effect.
Washing soda , the strong one. It increases the cleaning effect and is suitable for detergents and fabric softeners. Soda is strong and concentrated and is also used as a limescale remover and drain cleaner. It must not be ingested and should not come into contact with eyes or skin.
Curd soap , the indispensable one. A bar of soap for the whole household. It is more alkaline and harder and has a higher cleaning effect than normal skin soaps.
Citric acid , the radiant one. It is particularly good for cleaning and descaling and makes the sink shiny again. Citric acid is available in liquid or dry form. It is produced industrially, so rarely actually consists of lemons.
We have put together all the ingredients (except vinegar) in our DIY cleaning kit . It is therefore the perfect start into the world of DIY cleaning products. Once you have these basic ingredients, you can mix them in any combination or use them individually.
