The thing about Valentine's Day - and our recommendations.

On February 14, 2023, it was Valentine's Day again - or rather Consumer Day?! For many industries, the day of love is the best-selling day of the year. This is not the only reason why more and more people are deciding to live on Valentine's Day like any other day If you want to make your loved one happy – whether on Valentine's Day next year or any other day – we have collected some more sustainable alternatives to roses and gold jewelry in this article.

How many roses should I give? None!

Okay, if not roses, then maybe jewelry?

Would you prefer gold jewelry? Yes, but please recycle it!

But the most important thing is:

No dust collectors please!

You don't have and/or don't want a loved one at the moment? This post is also for you! #selfcare

Love is known to be the most beautiful thing in the world. Whether it's love for your partner, your friends or yourself. And even though Valentine's Day is more of a commercial day, we think it's a great opportunity to celebrate this love every year. But spoiler alert: you can use any other day for that too!

Because let's be honest: In everyday life, we don't tell our loved ones enough how important they really are to us. Appreciation is sometimes a tricky thing - it often gets neglected.

The same applies to ourselves: When was the last time you told yourself what a great person you are and how much you love yourself? Of course, we should do this as often as possible, but unfortunately we are often much more busy criticizing ourselves.

So, here's a little task for today: take a piece of paper and a pen and write down at least five things that you really like about yourself. We're sure that once you start, you'll think of a lot more.

But back to dating: What can you do during the pandemic without endangering yourself and your loved ones? Don't worry, we got you: We have some guaranteed pandemic-proof dating tips for you.

  1. One extensive hike in the forest with hot tea from the thermos and delicious sandwiches.
  2. Together a course book.
How about a wild herb hike, for example?
  3. A soothing spa day at home .
Whether with your best friend or your partner: make your own masks, unpack massage oil and do something good for each other.
  4. Early in the morning on the Ice skating rink . The rinks are still empty and you can really let off steam.
  5. How about a A classy dinner - but at home ! Find a good recipe for a four-course meal together, go shopping together and then stand in the kitchen with nice music, chopping and cooking. The food tastes much better afterwards - and you create a nice memory at the same time.
  6. How about a game Geocaching?
The scavenger hunt for adults is absolutely pandemic-safe, brings a lot of time in nature and wonderful moments together.

And to all the singles out there: Why not go on a date with yourself? A whole day where you can really pamper yourself. Today you can treat yourself: take a long hot bath, cook yourself a delicious dinner, treat yourself to your favorite snack and celebrate your relationship with yourself.

Do you have any other creative ideas on how to spend Valentine's Day in a romantic way? We are excited!
